Wayne was born in Waterville, Maine. He attended Ball State University and aspired to become the next David Letterman, only to busy himself with acting (Bernie in Sexual Perversity in Chicago, Wagner in The Tragical History of the Life and Death of Dr. Faustus, Booker Page in Working, etc.) directing (No Exit and Tea & Sympathy), and film making. He was also named "Entertainer of the Year" at Howick Hall during his freshman year.
After graduation he went west to Los Angeles to expose himself. Unfortunately, in Los Angeles this was merely regarded as "normal" and he was sent back east. Upon arrival in NYC, Wayne studied voice-over with Charles Michael at The Voice Bank and performed stand-up comedy at Stand-Up New York. In 1994 he wrote, directed and performed in Fished Inn with Robert G. Hess Jr. and Carolyn Kitay. He joined the No Name Players in 1995 and performed with them over 4 years at Caroline's, Gotham Comedy Club, Don't Tell Mama's, West End Gate, The Duplex, and NY Comedy Club. In 1998 he directed Girls on Film at KGB. He has performed with The Moderns in the past year and has continued to study voice-over with Ruth Franklin.
In addition, he has recently become engaged to Lygia Matta Barceló and would like to thank her for tolerating his behavior.
